For a richer flavor, use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts. Remove the skin before serving. Add a splash of dry red wine to the sauce for extra depth of flavor. If you like a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Feel free to add other vegetables such as zucchini, eggplant, or carrots. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
