Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a small saucepan, combine the drained and rinsed chickpeas with the white vinegar. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Remove from heat and let the chickpeas soak in the vinegar for 30 minutes to fully absorb the flavor. (Time: 30 minutes)

02

Step

After soaking, drain the chickpeas thoroughly, discarding the vinegar. Gently remove any loose skins from the chickpeas to ensure a crispier final product.

03

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees F (198 degrees C). Once preheated, spread the drained chickpeas in a single, even layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for approximately 4 minutes, or until the chickpeas appear dry to the touch. (Time: 4 minutes)

04

Step

Transfer the dried chickpeas to a heat-proof bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Toss gently to ensure the chickpeas are evenly coated with the oil and salt.

05

Step

Return the coated chickpeas to the air fryer basket, again in a single layer. Continue to cook, shaking the basket every 2 to 3 minutes to promote even browning, for approximately 8 minutes, or until the chickpeas are lightly browned and delightfully crispy. (Time: 8 minutes)

06

Step

Serve immediately and enjoy the satisfying crunch and tangy flavor of these air-fried salt and vinegar chickpeas!

For an extra punch of flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika or garlic powder along with the sea salt before the final air frying step.
Make sure the chickpeas are thoroughly drained and dried before air frying. Excess moisture will result in soggy, not crispy, chickpeas.
The cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model. Keep a close eye on the chickpeas during the final cooking stage to prevent burning.
These chickpeas are best enjoyed immediately for optimal crispness. However, if you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They may lose some of their crispness but will still be delicious.

So much healthier than potato chips and just as addictive!

Mine weren't as crispy as I hoped. I think I needed to make sure they were really dry before putting them in the air fryer. Will definitely try again!
