Follow The Directions

01

Step

Gently place the eggs in a saucepan and cover completely with cold water. Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, cover the saucepan, remove it from the heat, and let the eggs stand in the hot water for 10-12 minutes. (12 min)

02

Step

After the standing time, immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, peel the eggs and coarsely chop them. (5 min)

03

Step

Place the bacon slices in a large, cold skillet. Cook over medium heat, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and golden brown. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Once cooled slightly, crumble the bacon into bite-sized pieces. (15 min)

04

Step

In a large salad bowl, combine the fresh spinach, chopped red onion, and the chopped eggs and crumbled bacon. (3 min)

05

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, minced garlic, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper until the dressing is emulsified and well combined. (2 min)

06

Step

Just before serving, pour the lemon-garlic vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to ensure all the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture. (2 min)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the vinaigrette.
To ensure the spinach remains crisp, dry it thoroughly after washing. A salad spinner works wonders for this!
If you prefer a sweeter dressing, add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup to the vinaigrette.
You can substitute the red onion with shallots for a milder flavor.
Feel free to experiment with different types of bacon, such as applewood smoked or maple-flavored, to customize the flavor profile of the salad.
