Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Mold: Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (185°C). (5 minutes) Generously spray a 7-cavity silicone egg bite mold with nonstick cooking spray.

02

Step

Combine the Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/4 cup white sugar, 2 tablespoons white sugar, water, egg yolk, melted butter, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.

03

Step

Incorporate Egg White: In a separate small bowl, beat the egg white with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gently fold the beaten egg white into the batter.

04

Step

Fill the Mold: Scoop the batter into the prepared silicone mold using a small-hinged ice cream scoop. Place the mold into the air fryer basket.

05

Step

First Fry: Fry in the preheated air fryer for 10 minutes. Carefully remove the mold from the basket. Gently pop the beignets out and flip them over onto a round of parchment paper.

06

Step

Second Fry: Place the parchment paper round with the beignets back into the air fryer basket. Cook for an additional 4 minutes.

07

Step

Serve: Remove the beignets from the air fryer basket and dust generously with confectioners' sugar. Serve warm and enjoy!

For best results, ensure your baking powder is fresh. This will help the beignets rise properly.
If you don't have a silicone egg bite mold, you can use small ramekins or create free-form beignets on parchment paper, but be sure to watch the cooking time closely.
Adjust the amount of confectioners' sugar to your liking. A generous dusting adds a touch of sweetness and elegance.
These beignets are best enjoyed fresh. However, you can store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 24 hours. Reheat in the air fryer for a minute or two to restore their warmth and crispness.

Mine didn't get as golden brown as I'd hoped, so I added an extra minute of cooking time.

I was skeptical about air fryer beignets, but these turned out perfectly fluffy. A great alternative to traditional beignets!

I added a bit of lemon zest to the batter and it gave them a lovely citrusy flavor!
