For a richer flavor, try using melted butter instead of softened butter. A stand mixer can also be used instead of a bread machine. Mix the dough with a dough hook until smooth and elastic. If the top of the bread is browning too quickly in the oven, tent it loosely with aluminum foil. This bread freezes well. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then in foil.
