Follow The Directions

01

Step
20 mins

Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with lightly salted water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.

02

Step
2 mins

Drain and allow to steam dry for a minute or two.

03

Step
5 mins

Mash the potatoes until smooth, then add the cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, bacon, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder. Mash until the ingredients are well blended, then transfer to a serving dish, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese to garnish.

For an extra layer of flavor, try roasting the potatoes instead of boiling them. Toss the potato chunks with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a sprig of rosemary, then roast at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until tender and slightly browned.
Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese. Gruyere, Monterey Jack, or even a smoked Gouda would add a unique twist.
If you're not a fan of bacon bits, try using crumbled cooked bacon for a more authentic flavor.
