Follow The Directions

01

Step

Marinate the Chicken: Coat the chicken breasts evenly with yogurt. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight. (2+ hours)

02

Step

Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the marinated chicken breasts under cold water and pat them completely dry with paper towels. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Season the Flour: In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil and margarine with 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice in a large skillet over medium heat. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the chicken in the hot skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. This should take about 15 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside, keeping it warm. (20 minutes)

05

Step

Make the Sauce: Pour the white vermouth into the skillet to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Add the minced garlic, remaining 1/4 cup lemon juice, water, and capers. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook until it has reduced by half, about 5-7 minutes. (10 minutes)

06

Step

Finish the Dish: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet with the lemon-caper sauce. Simmer for an additional 3 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors of the sauce. (5 minutes)

For an extra touch of freshness, garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Serve this delightful Chicken Piccata with a side of steamed asparagus, mashed potatoes, or angel hair pasta for a complete and satisfying meal.
Adjust the amount of lemon juice to your liking. If you prefer a tangier sauce, add a bit more lemon juice.
Make sure your skillet is hot before searing the chicken. This will give it a nice golden color and crispy texture.
