Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Toast the Pine Nuts: Heat a small, dry skillet over medium heat. Add the pine nuts and toast, stirring constantly, until golden brown and fragrant (3-5 minutes). Watch carefully to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.

02

Step
10 mins

Blend the Hummus: In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, reserved chickpea liquid, lemon juice, olive oil, tahini, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and crushed peppercorns. Process until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl a few times to ensure even blending.

03

Step
2 mins

Combine and Serve: Stir the toasted pine nuts into the hummus for added texture and flavor, or sprinkle them on top as a garnish. Drizzle generously with high-quality olive oil. Serve immediately with warm pita bread, fresh vegetables, or your favorite dippers.

For an extra smooth hummus, peel the skins off the chickpeas before blending.
Adjust the amount of lemon juice and garlic to your preference. Start with less and add more to taste.
Store leftover hummus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
