Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

In a large bowl, bloom the gelatin by pouring in the boiling water and whisking until the gelatin is completely dissolved. (2 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Stir in the cranberry sauce, crushed pineapple (with its juice), chopped celery, pecans, and orange zest. Ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the gelatin mixture. (5 minutes)

03

Step
2 mins

Pour the mixture into your desired mold or serving dish. A ring mold creates an elegant presentation, but any shape will do. (2 minutes)

04

Step
8 hrs

Carefully transfer the mold or dish to the refrigerator and chill for at least 8 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the gelatin to fully set. (8 hours)

05

Step
3 mins

To prepare the topping, in a separate bowl, whip the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. (3 minutes)

06

Step
2 mins

Gently fold in half of the whipped topping into the cream cheese until just combined. Then, fold in the remaining whipped topping, being careful not to overmix. (2 minutes)

07

Step
5 mins

Once the gelatin is firm, unmold it onto a serving platter. If using a ring mold, place the platter on top of the mold and quickly invert. (5 minutes)

08

Step

Generously spread the creamy topping over the top of the gelatin salad. If you used a ring mold, you can fill the center with the topping, creating a beautiful presentation.

For a more intense orange flavor, consider adding a tablespoon of orange juice to the gelatin mixture.
If you prefer a smoother texture, you can pulse the cranberry sauce in a food processor before adding it to the gelatin.
To easily unmold the gelatin, lightly grease the mold with cooking spray before pouring in the mixture.
The topping can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
Feel free to experiment with other nuts, such as walnuts or almonds, in place of the pecans.
For a festive touch, garnish with fresh cranberries and orange slices before serving.
