In the bowl of a food processor, combine all the drained garbanzo beans. Pulse several times to coarsely break up the beans. (2 minutes)

Add the minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, cumin, dried basil, salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper to the food processor. Blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. (1 minute)

With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the reserved garbanzo bean liquid, followed by the olive oil and sesame oil. Continue to blend until the hummus is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. (3-5 minutes)

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, garnish with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of paprika, or fresh herbs, if desired. Serve immediately or chill for later.

For an extra smooth hummus, peel the skins off the garbanzo beans before blending.
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your liking. Start with 1/2 teaspoon and add more to taste.
If the hummus is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of cold water until desired consistency is reached.
This hummus can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
