Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your oven to 355°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add the melted butter and tahini. Mix until the dough comes together into a crumbly mixture. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place each ball on the prepared baking sheet. Gently flatten each ball with the palm of your hand or press with a fork to create a decorative pattern. (10 minutes)

04

Step

Bake on the middle rack of the preheated oven until the cookies are golden brown around the edges, approximately 10-12 minutes. (12 minutes)

05

Step

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. (30 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of melted butter.
Add a pinch of sea salt to the dough to enhance the sweetness and bring out the tahini flavor.
Feel free to experiment with different extracts, such as vanilla or almond, to customize the flavor profile.
Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

The dough was a little dry for me, so I added a tablespoon of milk. They turned out perfect!

I added a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top before baking, and it gave them a lovely added crunch and flavor.
