Follow The Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). (5 minutes)

Spread sweet potato slices in a single layer on 2 large baking sheets lined with parchment paper. This prevents sticking and promotes even browning.

Coat evenly with cooking spray; sprinkle 1 1/2 teaspoons of the garlic-pepper seasoning over the slices. (2 minutes)

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Flip the chips carefully with a spatula, spray the other side lightly with cooking spray, and sprinkle with the remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons of garlic-pepper seasoning. (3 minutes)

Continue baking until the chips are tender and slightly crispy around the edges, about 15 minutes more. Keep a close eye on them during the last few minutes to prevent burning. (15 minutes)

Remove from oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheets before serving. The chips will crisp up further as they cool.

For extra crispiness, soak the sweet potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes before baking. Drain well and pat dry before proceeding with the recipe.
Adjust the amount of garlic-pepper seasoning to your liking. You can also experiment with other spices, such as smoked paprika, chili powder, or cinnamon.
Store leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
