Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (2 minutes)

02

Step

Pat the mahi mahi fillets dry with paper towels. Season generously with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper on both sides. Lightly spray or brush both sides with cooking spray or olive oil. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded for even cooking. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Air fry for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your fillets, so check for doneness halfway through. (12 minutes)

04

Step

While the fish is cooking, prepare the brown butter. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Continue to cook, swirling the pan occasionally, until the butter foams, then subsides and turns a rich golden brown color with a nutty aroma. This should take about 3-5 minutes. Be careful not to burn the butter! Remove from heat immediately. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Carefully transfer the cooked mahi mahi fillets to a serving plate. Drizzle generously with the brown butter, ensuring each fillet is nicely coated. Serve immediately and enjoy!

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the fish after drizzling with brown butter.
If you prefer, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the brown butter for a subtle kick.
Serve with a side of roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a fresh salad for a complete and healthy meal.
Be cautious when browning butter as it can quickly burn. Watch carefully and remove from heat as soon as it reaches a rich brown color.
