Follow The Directions

01

Step

Slice the brisket in half against the grain and place one half into a slow cooker. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Spread 1/2 cup of ketchup and 2 tablespoons of grape jelly over the brisket. Sprinkle with half of the dry onion soup mix. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Place the remaining brisket half on top. Spread with the remaining 1/2 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons grape jelly, and the remaining onion soup mix. (3 minutes)

04

Step

Sprinkle black pepper evenly into the slow cooker. (1 minute)

05

Step

Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours, or until the brisket is exceptionally tender and easily pulls apart. (8-10 hours)

For an even richer flavor, consider searing the brisket in a hot pan before placing it in the slow cooker.
If desired, add potatoes and carrots during the last 2 hours of cooking for a complete one-pot meal.
The long cooking time makes this recipe ideal for busy days when you want a flavorful and satisfying dinner with minimal effort.
