I tried this with steel-cut oats, and it worked well, but I cooked it for 9 hours instead of 8.

I added a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and it was perfect!

My kids loved this! I used a mix of Gala and Fuji apples, and they devoured it.

I didn't have pumpkin pie spice, so I used a pinch of nutmeg and ginger instead. It worked great!

Amazing recipe! I love that it's so customizable. I topped mine with blueberries, walnuts, and a drizzle of honey.

  • Minnie Littel

The oatmeal was a bit thicker than I expected, so I added a little extra water after it was cooked. Next time, I'll use 4.5 cups of water.
