Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a 2-quart baking dish, vigorously stir together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and milk until smooth and well combined. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Add the shredded cooked chicken, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, the chopped jalapeños, half of the sliced green onions, half of the crumbled bacon, garlic powder, and onion powder to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until evenly distributed. (3 minutes)

04

Step

Spread the chicken mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. (1 minute)

05

Step

Arrange the frozen potato nuggets in a single layer on top of the chicken mixture, ensuring they cover as much surface area as possible. (4 minutes)

06

Step

Bake uncovered in the preheated oven until the potato nuggets are golden brown and crispy, about 35 minutes. (35 minutes)

07

Step

Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese and the remaining crumbled bacon over the top. Tent loosely with foil to prevent burning and let stand for 5 minutes to allow the cheese to melt. (5 minutes)

08

Step

Garnish with the remaining sliced green onions before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of smoked paprika to the chicken mixture.
If you prefer a spicier kick, leave some of the jalapeño seeds in when chopping.
Feel free to substitute the potato nuggets with tater tots or even cauliflower florets for a lower-carb option.
