Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) according to the manufacturer's directions. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko bread crumbs.

03

Step

Dredge each jalapeño slice in flour, shaking off any excess. Then, dip it into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, press the slice into the panko bread crumbs, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the breaded jalapeño slices on a plate, making sure they don't overlap. Repeat with the remaining slices. (20 minutes)

04

Step

Arrange the breaded jalapeño slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. Lightly spray the tops with nonstick cooking spray. Cook for 4 minutes, then carefully flip the slices and spray the other side with cooking spray. Cook for another 4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with any remaining jalapeño slices. (8 minutes per batch)

05

Step

Serve immediately with a generous helping of your favorite ranch dressing for dipping.

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of garlic powder or smoked paprika to the panko bread crumbs.
If you prefer a spicier kick, leave a few of the jalapeño seeds intact.
These air-fried jalapeño slices are best enjoyed immediately while they're at their crispiest. However, you can reheat them in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore some of their crunch.
Consider adding a layer of cheese!
