For an extra layer of flavor, sauté a diced onion and a clove or two of minced garlic with the ground beef. Experiment with different types of cheese! Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend of Italian cheeses would also be delicious. Add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground beef mixture for a touch of heat. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives before serving for a pop of color and freshness. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or oven.
