Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the grill by preheating it to high heat. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat, stirring occasionally until almost crisp. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and continue cooking until the bacon is crisp and the onion is tender and caramelized. (15 minutes)

03

Step

Remove the bacon and onion from the skillet using a slotted spoon, and transfer them to a food processor. Pulse a couple of times to finely chop the mixture, being careful not to puree it. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Pour the bacon-onion mixture into a large bowl. Add the steak sauce and ground chuck. Use your hands to thoroughly combine all the ingredients. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions and form them into patties. (10 minutes)

06

Step

Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook for approximately 5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on top of each patty to allow it to melt. (10 minutes)

07

Step

Serve the bacon cheeseburgers on your favorite burger buns with your preferred condiments and toppings.

For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground chuck and ground sirloin.
Be careful not to over-process the bacon and onion mixture, as you want to maintain some texture.
If you don't have a food processor, you can finely chop the bacon and onion mixture by hand.
Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your patties and your desired level of doneness.
For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a sprinkle of garlic powder or smoked paprika to the ground beef mixture.
